Hello and welcome…

It’s no secret that starting therapy can be nerve-racking, overwhelming, or intimidating, but I will do my best to make starting this process as comfortable and straightforward as possible. While therapy can be used in many ways, it is my hope that together we can explore what barriers are getting in the way of where you want to be and how you want to feel.

What to expect….

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and supportive. I practice a blend of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, as well as therapeutic interventions based in attachment, collaborative, and systemic models of therapy. What this means in practice is that your healing journey is determined by you and guided by me. I believe you are the expert on yourself and your experiences. My role is to help you figure out what needs to happen to accomplish your goals, whether that means learning new skills to face life’s challenges, navigating relational stress, processing highly stressful or traumatic experiences, or something else entirely. I also believe humor and fun are integral parts of the therapeutic experience.

Special interests and experience…

I most often work with individuals and couples experiencing challenges around anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. However, two of my particular areas of passion are attachment and trauma. I believe our early childhood and relational experiences shape our view of ourselves and others, as well as provide insight into ways we will be able to work through our challenges. Similarly, highly stressful or traumatic experiences can heavily influence our view of the world around us. To address these types of concerns I have been trained in a number of models including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

A little about me…

When away from the office I love spending time with my husband and son. I enjoy cooking, experiencing new restaurants, gardening, and decorating for Halloween and Christmas.
