She/Her
I am a strengths based therapist practicing from a social justice, trauma informed, sex positive, and gender-affirming lens. I believe that building an authentic and trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation to success in therapy. I provide a non-judgmental environment where clients feel their story matters. I recognize that therapy is a collaborative process, and each person has a unique set of needs and goals. I am authentic in session and welcome all the feels and cuss words!
I am a queer identified therapist who has a passion for working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. I focus on helping clients explore their identity, feelings of shame and guilt, and cultural marginalization.
I practice from a (HAES) Health at Every Size framework, and work beside clients to explore body neutrality, body awareness, self-worth, and self-love.
Outside of work, I am a dog mom, elder emo, vinyl collector, thrift shopper, and explorer of coffee, food, music, and nature.
If you think we’d be a good fit, please reach out to me. I look forward to connecting with you! alysia.schwartz@vaydamentalhealth.com
