Charlotte Smith, MA
Pre-Licensed Therapist
(She/Her)
As a therapist, I'm an empathetic and passionate listener who provides a safe and comfortable space for you to explore, process, and build your life. My work has spanned across different ages and stages of life while my primary focus is adults and adolescents (15+) struggling with depression, anxiety, shame, perfectionism/overachieving, numbing/intellectualizing, and trauma.
My specialties:
Brainspotting: a trauma technique using eye positions to help release stored emotions. For more information, see brainspotting.com.
Parts-informed work: identifying and healing fractured parts of yourself from childhood. We can figure out what those parts needed and why you repeat unhelpful patterns. Guided imagery: processing emotions by letting the subconscious speak through visualization. This technique is great for people who struggle to feel their emotions or have become numb to them. I'm a humorous and laid-back person ready to dive into whatever feels right for you while also being a guide if you need it.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, sewing/crafting, being in musicals, drinking tea, and hanging out at the lake up north with family.
